Description:
The Panasonic GH1 is a Micro 4/3rds camera that has had high expectations for a while.
The GH1,  with a lens, features 12MP (although the sensor is 14MP) images, 1080p HD video at 24p, 720p HD video, and stereo microphones (plus a headphone jack.) Pogue notes that Canon and Nikon were the first to offer HD video in digital SLR cameras and that now Panasonic has gone further with allowing for better auto-focusing while filming. Additionally, the Panasonic GH1 allows users to film clips for as long as they would like to. In contrast, the Canon and Nikon versions only permit filming for a certain amount of time.
