The Samsung IT100 comes with a 12.2 megapixels CCD sensor and a 5x optical zoom which delivers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 35mm to 175mm. For added stability and blur-free images, especially when using the IT100 at its maximum zoom, Samsung has incorporated both Optical and Digital Image Stabilisation. The IT100 is also capable of HD movie recording at 720p (30fps) and offers HDMI connectivity.

The Samsung IT100 features a highly intuitive suite of automatic controls called Perfect Portrait System to help improve ones ability to take great digital images. Designed to help capture better portraits and group shots, the IT100s Face Detection technology detects up to ten faces and automatically adjusts focus and exposure to ensure better composition and image quality. Another feature, the Smile Shot, automatically triggers the IT100 to take a photo only when the camera detects smiles on the faces of subjects. Finally, theres Blink Detection which will automatically fire three consecutive shots if the camera detects that a subjects eyes are closed to give you great portraits every time. A unique functionality of the IT100 is Beauty Shot, which will automatically brighten and even out skin tones as well as remove blemishes. The Samsung IT100 is also highlighted by Samsungs new Smart Auto feature, which will automatically select one of 11 scene modes for the most appropriate settings. Composing and reviewing shots is very comfortable thanks to the large 3.0-inch (230k pixels) TFT LCD of the IT100.
